Richard de Zeeuw

Richard is a Dutch national who has proudly called Ireland home since 1996 and currently resides in Kilternan, Co. Dublin. As Head of Strategic Alliances for a leading software company, he travels regularly throughout Europe and beyond. His international experience has deepened his appreciation for the European Union—its potential, its challenges, and its unique ability to foster cooperation and progress.
He joined Volt out of a deep conviction that Ireland, as a dynamic and open society, can and should benefit even more from deeper European integration. He believes in the immense value of the EU, despite its imperfections. This drives his commitment as interim Head of Legal and Finance for Volt Ireland, where he works to strengthen the party’s capacity to advocate for evidence-based, progressive policies that serve both Ireland and Europe.
